AMACS (Association of Maltese Arms Collectors and Shooters)
The Association of Maltese Arms Collectors & Shooters (AMACS) was founded on 12 June 1985 in
opposition to a Parliamentary Bill proposing customs legislation amendments, that would impose duties on imported collectors' items.
This measure was seen as counterproductive, potentially stifling private collectors' efforts to import rare and culturally significant items,
thereby limiting contributions to the nation's heritage enrichment efforts.
Total AMACS Membership currently stands at over 900, which number includes a growing number of female members.
